What are the fundamental principles of Avalon?
The human being has a center. This is the Self. In ordinary life, we are not aware of who aor what we are. Our Self is mostly confused with with our personal memories, behavior, emotions, conditionings, and daily thoughts. We identify ourselves easily with what we have learned, even if these teachings were negative to our lives.
Why does the human being identifies her/ himself with the world and all that surrounds us without much discernment? Because if this we carry many impure and unnecessary “bagage” with us. For many of us, our past is our future. Althoigh this may be partially true, we would like to suggest that we depart from the present moment!
From a present moment within consciousness, we give form to our future.
This moment, the Now is what is called the soul, and is central in the process of healing, regeneration and transformation.
The counselor/ therapist, goes together with the seeker (who seeks counseling) on a journey to find the answers and solutions needed!
The counselor/ therapist facilitates therefore the process of healing and transformation.
The true effort comes eventually from the individual… awakening to the realization that all was there in the first place.
